TANGO NUEVO WORKSHOPS - Fun and FUNKY
The Thursday night course is commencing this Thursday at 7.30pm. It is a pre-paid course of four weeks $80pp
Be guided through the technique for a sound basis on which to build your own creative sense.
It will assist and build skills in improvisation, relaxation, and understanding of the tango argentino structure.
The course will look at using the tango nuevo analysis, style and connection as a starting point for creating the tango argentino system.
A fresh outlook and new perspective.
4 week course $80.00pp

We will insist on even numbers of lead and follow in class.

Volcadas and Colgadas
What are they? How do you do them? What should they feel like? How can we lead them spontaneously?
An opportunity to get to grips with these challenging “shared balance” figures.

Tango Workshops
WORKSHOPS:
Our popular open level Mens and Womens workshops are being held again on Sunday 14th June
These workshops are an excellent opportunity for tango dancers to hone their skills and learn and ask about essential tango elements at a deeper level not possible in normal class situations. Highly recommended for all levels.
SUNDAY 14th JUNE
Womens Technique (women only) 1.30-3.00pm
Adornments are the ultimate in style and pleasure, but are only
possible when created as a function of the basic tango structure and posture.
The workshop will cover techniques maximising the potential for expression in adornos through use of the “Free ” leg, with grace and style.
Please dress in casual clothing with flat shoes or socks

Men only workshop looking at the development of the posture, stance, energy and attitude required for the role of the “Lead” in Tango.
Covering techniques for “lead and follow”, “establishing and

Welcome to Sidewalk Tango for 2009!
Our classes have commenced for 2009. We are looking forward to an exciting, stylish and fun year ahead. The classes operate on a casual attendance basis, so you can start any time. All welcome!
No need to bring a partner, just come with leather shoes (preferably not trainers) summon your emotions, keep an open mind and seize the moment!
Instruction is focused on pure “Salon Tango”; social dancing as seen and danced in the Milongas (dance clubs) of Buenos Aires.
