Buenos Aires Style Tango Course for Beginners –
Every Thursday – Learn Tango in Hobart with David and Mia from Sidewalktango

$25pp casual class or $110 for five weeks

Starting with easy movement and connection in the embrace.
Progressing to Tango style and form in ochos, giros, voleos
No experience needed. Includes free practice session after the class.

BEGINNERS LEVELS 1 and 2 – Suitable for Complete Beginners

TIME: 6.00pm to 7.15pm –
DATE : Thursdays five week block $110

(entry through rear carpark off Clare St, New Town)

Attendance is by bookings and payment in advance only.

Includes 7.30pm to 9.30pm– Polish Club Practica (free for dancers attending beginners course)

DANCERS LEVELS 3 and 4

$25 p.p. includes Practica

– Level 3 and 4 Technique and Classic figures and tango effects for social dancing.

(completion of Level 1 and 2 and evaluation a requirement)

FOLLOWED BY THURSDAY NIGHT PRACTICA:7.30pm to 9.30pm

PRACTICA Polish Club Practica (after Classes)

$15 p.p.FOR EXPERIENCED AND BEGINNER DANCERS Informal guided social dance practice where your real dancing begins, and where we prepare ourselves for attending Milongas. A chance to practice and learn what has been taught in class with your fellow students. Informal social atmosphere, Teachers are on the floor ready to answer any
questions and to guide your dance technique, and offering solutions to
any problems on embrace, posture, dynamics, or any other issues

Suitable for COMPLETE BEGINNERS and also dancers with some experience.

Tango Introduction Session
Basics of Rhythm, Embrace and Connection

Starting slowly with simple easy connected movement and connection, then over the course of the weekend delving into the excitement and audacity of iconic traditional Buenos Aires tango movement and style…

Experienced Tango Dancers Immersion Weekend
The Voices of Cadencia –
Musicality in Milonguero Voleos, Sacadas, Giros and Ochos .
Self-Expression and Musicality in Tango.
With working examples and advanced figures showing communication in embrace, rhythm and connection

3.00pm – 4.30pm
Mixed Level Practica
(Informal Social dancing and Guided Practice)

All Levels welcome to meet and practice together what has been learnt in the classes.

Two teachers on the floor throughout provide guidance and to answer your questions on technique, dynamics, problem solving

We work toward even numbers of lead and follow to participate in the workshop.

We believe this creates the best learning environment and gives everyone the benefit of the best possible opportunity for enjoyment and achievement over the weekend.
Partners are rotated throughout the course of each session unless a couple requests specifically to stay together .
